The Jamaica/Cuba Eye Care team is scheduled to begin screening patients in St. Thomas today.

The health ministry said the team would spend three weeks in St. Thomas.

Eye screening is scheduled to take place at the Princess Margaret Hospital and the Isaac Barrant, Trinityville, Seaforth and Llandewey Health Centres.

The team is expected to conduct screening in each of the island’s parishes.

Parliamentary Secretary in the Health Ministry, Senator Aundre Franklyn, said the parish-by-parish screening is intended to improve the reach of the Jamaica/ Cuba Eye care project.

He said a comprehensive screening schedule would be published in the media.
