NWC customers face water woes

Customers of the National Water Commission (NWC) who are served by the Tulloch Springs/Bybrook water supply system in St. Catherine will experience disruptions in their water supply starting this month end.

Community Relations Manager for the NWC Eastern Division, Karen Clacken said this is to facilitate work being conducted as part of the Kingston Metropolitan Area water Supply rehabilitation programme.

Miss Clacken said that while arrangements have been made to provide alternative sources of supply, customers should make the necessary arrangements for storing water.

More than 26 communities will be affected.

Miss Clacken said customers served by the Yangs Well facility in Spanish Town would continue to be faced by water disruptions until May 23.

She said rehabilitation work being conducted on the well would not be completed before then.
