Taxi operators plying the Spanish Town to Naggo Head route in St. Catherine have withdrawn their service in protest against the hike in road license fees.

The operators claim they now have to pay $56 thousand a year for their license.

They are asking the Transport Authority to reduce the fees.

Several taxi operators in Old Harbour and Spanish Town have blocked sections of the Church Pen Main Road.

The operators are also expressing concern about the poor road condition.

In Central village, the main road leading to Windsor Heights has also been blocked by persons protesting against the disappearance of Dwayne ‘Not a fear’ Thomas.

He has been reported missing since Thursday.
