PM to table security force and special coroner bills
Prime Minister Bruce Golding is to table a bill in parliament today, to establish an independent authority to investigate abuses by members of the security forces.
Mr. Golding is also expected to table another bill, which will allow for the establishment of a special coroner.
The coroner will be responsible for conducting speedy inquests when citizens are killed by agents of the state under questionable circumstances.
Mr. Golding said he would also be seeking to have discussions with the opposition on other areas of constitutional reform.
