Jamaican world 100-metre record holder Asafa Powell is scheduled to compete at the 114th Penn Relays Carnival in Philadelphia, USA.

The Relays will start tomorrow.

Manager Paul Doyle confirmed his athlete’s participation although Powell had to pull out of the Mount San Antonio College Relays in Walnut, Carlifornia at the weekend because of injury.

Powell will then re-launch his 100 metres season at a May 9 meeting in Doha, Qatar.

He is also considering running the 100 metres in Oslo, Norway on June 6 and plans to train in Italy in June and July to get ready for the Beijing Games.
