Portmore lead Tivoli

Portmore United have widened its lead in the National Premier League after yesterday’s opening games in the fourth and final round of competition.



The St. Catherine-based team edged Boys’ Town 2-1 at Collie Smith Drive to move to 67 points, while title chasing Tivoli Gardens were beaten 1-0 by visitors Sporting Central at Edward Seaga Stadium.



Portmore United now lead Tivoli by eight points with four games remaining in the season.



Outgoing champions Harbour View, with new coach Harold Thomas, played to a 1-1 draw with Waterhouse.



St. Georges, with Geoffery Maxwell in charge for the first time, lost 2-0 to Village United at Elliston Wakeland Centre.



Bottom-placed Reno played to a goalless draw with Arnett Gardens at St. Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS).



Ninth-placed Seba United defeated August Town 3-1 at Jarrett Park in Montego Bay.
