Murder suspects charged

The four men held in connection with the murder of a couple in Savannah Cross, Clarendon on March 27 have been charged.

Uroy Mahabeer, 32, and Wallace Herah, 26, who are said to be the masterminds behind the murder have been charged with two counts of murder.

Ricardo Wright, 21, and Glenroy Mitchell are also charged with two counts of murder.

Superintendent in charge of crime for Clarendon, Radcliffe Lewis said all four men have been charged with one count of burglary and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.

The men, who are from the Hunts Pen community in the parish, were captured during separate raids in the area following the murders.

They men are to appear in court on Thursday.

Indria Coleman, 25, and her 50 year old companion, Carl Ellington were shot dead before the woman’s two children on the morning of March 27.

The two were said to have moved to the Savannah Cross community just a few days earlier.
