Young Windies win

West Indies defeated Pakistan by 89 runs yesterday to win the CLICO Under-15 International Championship Series final at Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad.

Chasing the home side’s challenging total of 228 for seven of 50 overs, the Pakistanis were bowled out for 139 in 42.5 overs.

Leading the victory charge for West Indies were opening batsman Kraigg Brathwaite with 82 and Ramon Senior, who scored 50.

Senior then returned to bag four wickets for 24 runs to claim the Player of the Match award.

Only skipper Muhammad Babar impressed the visitors. He slammed 51 off 60 balls.
