Agriculture Minister, Christopher Tufton is today expected to meet with his Cuban counterpart to sign an agreement for increased cooperation in several areas.

Water and Housing Minister, Dr. Horace Chang will meet the Cuban ministers with those portfolio responsibilities in an attempt to finalise a deal that could see Cuba providing Jamaica with assistance in those areas.

Health Minister Rudyard Spencer, who is also part of the Jamaican delegation in Cuba, will meet with his counter part.

The four year old Cuban eye care programme, which has already resulted in more than 4,100 Jamaicans travelling to Cuba for treatment, is expected to be at the top of their agenda.

Last Tuesday, 79 Jamaicans arrived in Cuba for treatment under the programme.
