Constabulary Communication Network under probe

Jamaican Prime Minister Bruce Golding says a probe is to be conducted to determine why erroneous information was sent to the media regarding the police shooting of 29-year-old Ian Lloyd in Ocho Rios St. Ann last week Thursday afternoon.

Lloyd was shot after he had reportedly stabbed a woman.

The Constabulary Communication Network (CCN) had initially reported that Lloyd was shot dead after he attacked them with stones and attempted to stab a member of the team.

However, the video aired on television shows that the man was shot dead while subdued on the ground.

Golding says the matter warrants further investigation.
