Call for Gun Annest y in Grenada
A religious leader in Grenada has called for the government to declare a gun amnesty during the Christmas season. Reverend Tessica Hackshaw says there are many young people who own guns and ammunition.
He says many of them have been converted and want to turn in their guns. The religious minister says the converts are fearful about handing over the weapons to the police. Reverend Hackshaw says many of them do not want to be charged and instead they are trading the guns with other youngsters.
He says many young people have sough to clear themselves by burying the guns but others are digging them up.
