Singer and Academy Award-winning actress, Jennifer Hudson is to pay tribute to pop icon Whitney Houston at tonight’s Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.

Ms Houston, one of the world’s best-selling and most influential artistes, was found dead yesterday in her room at the Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel.

She was expected to attend tonight’s Grammys, the music industry’s biggest show. Changes have been made to the show to honour her memory and legacy.

Ms Houston won six Grammy Awards over her career span, including the highest honours “Record of the Year” and “Album of the Year.” She has sold more than 170 million albums worldwide and is considered the most awarded artiste in history.

Her stellar singing career was botched by her drug addiction and a turbulent marriage to fellow singer Bobby Brown.
