Repair work on Sandy Gully underway

The National Works Agency says repairs are underway on sections of the Sandy Gully in St. Andrew.



Senior Communications Officer, Colin Morrison, said several sections of the roadway are being targeted during the latest phase of the repair programme.



He said the sections include an area beteween Dupont Primary School and Lime Tree Lane to Olympic Way, sections of the Cassia Park Fording and the Waterloo Bridge as well as parts of Waltham Park Road, Molynes Road, Hallifax Avenue, Red Hills Road and Holborn Road.



Morrison said the repair work entails excavation of damaged areas, the strengthening of road surfaces and the construction of walls.



He said the repair work is expected to be completed within six months.
