Two policemen on murder charge

Two police officers have been arrested for murder in the US Virgin Islands.



The policemen were arrested on Sunday for a shooting incident on Christmas morning at the John F. Kennedy (JFK) housing community in St. Croix.



Jeffery Brown and Luis Melendez are facing charges of two counts of first-degree murder and four counts of attempted murder, four counts of first-degree assault and three counts of unauthorized possession of ammunition.



Melendez is also charged in another incident for attempted murder.



The men are being held without bail pending a hearing in the Superior court on Monday.



Two men were killed and several others injured in the incident.
