7 Jamaicans to compete in Doha today

Jamaica's two-time Olympic 100-metre champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce will be in action today as the 2013 Diamond League begins with its first leg in Doha.

Fraser-Pryce will compete in women's 200-metre dash, which is scheduled to start at 11:38 this morning Jamaica time.

Fraser-Pryce enters the event with a world leading 22.38 seconds achieved at last Saturday's Jamaica Invitational in Kingston.

There are two other Jamaicans down to compete in the women's 200 metres.

They are Sherone Simpson and Samantha Henry Robinson.

The men's 100-metre dash features three Jamaicans.

They are Nesta Carter, Jacques Harvey and Jason Young, who will face off with Americans Justin Gatlin and Michael Rodgers.

That race starts at 12:27.

Jamaican Shericka Williams will also take the field.

Williams will face off with Americans Allyson Felix and Francena McCorory , Chritine Ohuruogu of Great Britain, and Amantle Montsho of Botswana in the women's 400.
