The Government plans to hold three Cabinet retreat this fiscal year, AJ Nicholson, the Leader of Government Business in the Senate, has said.

Responding to questions posed to Opposition Senator Robert Montague, Nicholson said the Portia Simpson Miller-chaired Cabinet plans to have retreats in October this year as well as January and March 2014.

The Cabinet had four cabinet retreats last fiscal year.

Montague asked the cost of the last retreat and was told it was $210,790.

However, Nicholson said no money was paid to any adviser or for any person to make presentation to the Cabinet.

All four Cabinet retreats were held at Jamaica House, Nicholson said.
