Jamaica and West Indies cricket legend, Michael Holding, has received a ‘Lifetime Achievement’ award from the University of East London.

Holding was a key player in the West Indies squad, which dominated international cricket from the mid-70s to the early 90s.

Holding is regarded by many as the greatest fast bowler of all time.

Despite his easy-going persona, Holding was feared by batsmen around the world, often referred to by the chilling moniker ‘Whispering Death’.
