Double murder in St Catherine

The police are reporting that two persons are dead after being shot early this morning.



Dead are 21-year-old Shelly-Ann Maxwell of Clifton district and 22-year-old Cordel Steer of Portmore, St Catherine.



The bodies were found in an area off the Bernard Lodge main road in the parish this morning.



In a previous report the police had incorrectly said that the bodies were found on the Bombay Stud Farm.



Reports from the Portmore Police are that about 3 a.m., residents heard explosions and summoned the lawmen.



Both bodies were found in separate huts with gunshot wounds.



No arrest has been made.
