Man held with cocaine at Sangster airport this morning

The police are reporting that a man is this morning facing multiple charges under the Dangerous Drugs Act, following his arrest at the Sangster International Airport yesterday.



It is reported that about 10:55 a.m., the man, was scheduled to board a flight destined for the Bahamas, when he was searched by a Police team and the drugs discovered.



A travelling bag that he was carrying was also searched and 14 cylindrical pellets containing cocaine weighing approximately half pound were seized.



The police say, he was arrested and later taken to hospital, where he subsequently expelled additional pellets, weighing about one pound.



He remains in hospital, while the investigations continue.
