Clarendon men charged for illegal gun

The police have charged two men for breaches of the Firearms Act.



Charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition are 22 year-old Orkney Murray and 19-year-old Raldo Carty, both of Clarendon addresses.



They are scheduled to appear in Court on Tuesday, May 21.



It’s reported that last night personnel from the Frankfield Police in Clarendon were on operation when the driver of a Nissan Sunny motor car was signaled to stop.



He reportedly disobeyed and sped off.



The vehicle was subsequently intercepted and searched and a homemade handgun along with one 9mm cartridge was seized.
