Vehicle plunges into Rio Cobre

Three persons were treated at hospital for injuries after the car in which they were traveling, plunged into the Rio Cobre in St Catherine this evening.

The police say about 8:30 p.m, a Honda motor car was proceeding in the Bog Walk Gorge.

Upon reaching a section called Rebis Corner a tyre reportedly blew out and the driver lost control of the car.

The vehicle which was heading towards Spanish Town, ended up in the river causing injury to the occupants.

The incident resulted in a huge traffic pile up in the Gorge.
