Policeman killed in Hanover

Police have confirmed that a policeman attached to the Anchovy Police Station in St James, died last night at 10:20 p.m.

Dead is Constable Ricardo McKay.

It is believed that McKay was getting out of his car, when his firearm – which was in his waist – went off, shooting him in the leg.

The Gleaner understands that the firearm has been turned over to the police by citizens in the area.
