CRICKET: Darren Sammy's Sunrisers face Rajasthan in IPL playoffs

Published:Wednesday | May 22, 2013 | 9:27 AM

Sunrisers Hyderabad, with West Indies captain Darren Sammy, will face the beleaguered Rajasthan Royals in the play-offs of the Indian Premier League today in Delhi.

The winner of the play-offs will face Mumbai Indians for a chance to meet Dwayne Bravo’s Chennai Super Kings in the Grand Final.

Rajasthan Royals enter the match under pressure following the arrests of three of their players for spot fixing.

As a result of that issue the Sunrisers will enter the game as the overwhelming favourites.

Rajasthan Royals have in their roster West Indies pacer Fidel Edwards and all-rounder Kevon Cooper of Trinidad and Tobago.

Chennai Super Kings became the first team to qualify for the final after a 48-run victory over Mumbai Indians with the West Indies pair of Dwayne Smith and Kieron Pollard.

That match was played yesterday.
