Gunmen hold-up bus en route to downtown Kingston

A gunman is in custody after he and his accomplice, posing as passengers, held-up a bus en route to downtown Kingston yesterday evening.



Police reports are that a .380 pistol containing seven cartridges was seized after the incident.



The police say that about 8:45 p.m., two men armed with guns embarked a bus en route to downtown Kingston via Slipe Road, St Andrew posing as passengers.



One of the men asked for the bus to stop then proceeded to rob passengers of cellular phones and a sum of $10,000 cash.



The Police were alerted and one of the men was arrested, the other escaped.



The gunman’s identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
