England secured a 2-0l series sweep over New Zealand at Headingley today after completing an easy 247-run victory in the rain-affected second Test.

Chasing an unlikely 468 for victory, New Zealand was bowled out for 220 after resuming on 158 for six.

The final day was affected by two stoppages due to rain.

Graeme Swann ended with a 10-wicket haul after taking six for 90 in the second innings.

He became the first spinner to take a 10-wicket haul at Headingley since Derek Underwood in 1972.

Tim Southee was the only resistance on the day with 38.
