The police have released the identity of the two men killed in Spanish Town this morning.

Thirty-three-year-old labourer, Leighton Parkinson and 23-year-old Teshawn Campbell were killed in March Pen Road in separate incidents.

Their deaths are believed to be acts of reprisal following the murder of 8-year-old schoolgirl Tamera Laing, whose decomposing body was found in a pit latrine yesterday.

The police say Parkinson’s body was found with its throat slashed, and a note on the body which read, Children are our future, rapists must die.

Campbell’s body was also found with the throat slashed a few minutes later.
