JTA silent on legality of decision to bar Dixon from elections

The Jamaica Teachers' Association (JTA) has remained silent on the legality of the decision by the Presidents Association to bar Dixon from contesting the upcoming elections.

The JTA's Presidents of the Association is comprised of president, Clayton Hall, immediate past president, Paul Adams and president-elect, Dr Mark Nicely.

The President-elect Mark Nicely, could not confirm whether due process was followed before the decision was taken.

He says the JTA will issue a public clarification on the matter soon.
