Traffic changes for Reggae Boyz football match

The police have advised that there will be several traffic changes in the vicinity of the National Stadium today for the Reggae Boyz football match against Mexico.




The police say the changes will take effect around 5 p.m.



Arthur Wint Drive, from the junction with North Avenue will be used as a one-way access to the National Stadium.



The north-bound section of the Mountain View Avenue dual carriage way will be closed to the general public.



The police say only JUTC buses and vehicles transporting patrons to the match will be allowed access.



The police also say only vehicles displaying VIP stickers will be allowed access from Stanton Terrace onto Roosevelt Avenue.



Latham Avenue, at the intersection with Old Hope Road will be closed to vehicular traffic.



The police say cops will be on location to help to ensure the free flow of traffic.



The police say no firearms, knives, drugs, ice picks, machetes, glass bottles or other potentially harmful items will be allowed inside the stadium.



Licensed firearm holders are advised to leave their guns with their local police for safekeeping.
