Analyst: Jamaicans should brace for price increases
Financial analyst Ralston Hyman says Jamaicans should brace for higher prices as the value of the Jamaican dollar reached a new low yesterday, trading at 100 dollars and 8 cents to the green back.
It is the first time the exchange rate is reaching three-digit figures.
According to Hyman, the fall in the value of the Jamaican dollar will also impact investments.
He also says the recent gain in the value of the Jamaican dollar after Jamaica’s deal with the International Monetary Fund was merely the result of euphoria.
