Jamaica will try to avoid early elimination from next year’s FIFA World Cup Finals when they play Honduras in Tegucigalpa today in an important CONCACAF Qualifier.

The game is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. Jamaica time.

The Reggae Boyz are without a win in this final stage of qualifiers.

They are rooted at the bottom of the six-team table with two points from five games.

Only a victory today can revive their 2014 World Cup hopes.

The Reggae Boyz enter the contest with a very poor record having lost three straight games, the last two coming at home against Mexico and the USA inside four days.

Honduras were also losers in their last match, when going down to Costa Rica in an away game on Friday.

However, they are in a far better position than Jamaica having four points and played a game less.

Football analyst Clyde Jureidini says the Reggae Boyz need to start accumulating more points as of today.
