Queens, NY:

Jamaican singer Queen Ifrica will join the likes of Patti Labelle, Toots and the Maytals among others at this year's staging of the New York, USA, rhythm and blues summer concert, Groovin In The Park.

The concert takes place on Sunday, June 30.

It features some of the biggest names in two popular music genres at the Roy Wilkins Park in Queens.

Queen Ifrica the loan Jamaican female act billed for the show so far, joins Toots and the Maytals, Sanchez, Cocoa Tea, Barrington Levy, Patti Labelle and TGT (the trio of Tyrese, Genuine and Tank).

While there is a lot of talk about the big acts, this year’s event is offering a lot more than the music.

“We see Groovin In The Park this year as encompassing a full New York City Caribbean cultural experience”, Chris Roberts, CEO of the festival, said.

“So many times concerts are just about music, but we are going beyond those borders to also make the festival a culinary treat that will offer a wide variety of delicious foods for our patrons,” he continued.

This year's concert will mark the third staging of the event.
