Motion to remove MoBay mayor defeated

WESTERN BUREAU:

A resolution moved in the St James Parish Council to remove Mayor of Montego Bay and Chairman of the St James Parish Council, Glendon Harris, was defeated during the Regular Monthly Meeting of the Council today.




The resolution was moved by Councillor of the Cambridge Division, Homer Davis, of the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP).



The defeat of the motion followed a debate that lasted for more than an hour and saw 11 councillors from the Peoples National Party (PNP) outvoting the JLPs four.
