Plea and case management hearing for cop on murder charge

A plea and case management hearing is expected to take place today in the Home Circuit Court for Police corporal Malica Reid who is facing a murder charge.



Reid is accused of the shooting death of Negril businessman Frederick ‘Mickey’ Hill.



Hill was shot by the police along the Norman Manley Boulevard in Negril, Westmoreland on November 4, 2010.



The shooting caused much public outrage and sparked protests by residents and visitors.



The policeman is out on $500,000 bail.
