Scotiabank Jamaica wins Euromoney Magazine awards
Scotia private client group Jamaica has won two awards from Euromoney Magazine, walking away with top honours for the best private banking services overall in Jamaica and best relationship management in the Caribbean.
The client group edged out its contenders to emerge winners following the results of a survey which incorporated its 2012 performance, and nominations collected online via Euromoney’s website, the bank said in a release on Thursday.
Debra Lopez-Spence, centre director for the Scotia private client group said the “win is a reflection of our hard work and really is a testament to the absolute professionalism of our team.”
Last year, Scotia private client group reported a 24 per cent increase in assets under management and 117 per cent growth in its loan portfolio, which the bank said surpassed all performance targets.
The client group provides customers with access to comprehensive and customized
local and international banking and investment advisory offering, through their private banking relationship managers and financial advisors.
Scotiabank has been a continuous winner in the banking industry, having copped several awards over the years, including global recognition in the 2012 contact
centre world’s top ranking performers’ series, gold medals for the best mid-sized contact centre in the Americas, and best sales professional, as well as silver for best customer service professional.
Last year, Scotiabank also took home three awards from Global Finance Magazine,
a leading trade publication for best emerging bank, best foreign exchange provider and best Internet bank.
Earlier this year, Global Trade Magazine also awarded Scotiabank the best emerging markets bank in Jamaica.
