More rain today - Met Service

Published:Saturday | June 15, 2013 | 8:24 AM

The Meteorological Service says there could be rainfall across Jamaica today as a Tropical Wave, currently across Hispaniola moves towards the island.

The Met Service says showers and thunderstorms may be heavy at times, and are likely to affect sections of all parishes, as well as adjacent waters on Saturday afternoon and throughout Sunday.

It is forecasting that a gradual improvement is expected on Monday as the Tropical Wave moves away from Jamaica and through the western Caribbean.

Fishers and other small craft operators are urged to exercise caution as strong, gusty winds are expected in the vicinity of showers and thunderstorms.
