Three police personnel are to appear in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday on breaches of the Corruption Prevention Act.

Those charged are: Special Corporal Tyrone Harvey, Constable Lamore Small and Woman Constable Grace-Ann Williams. All three were stationed in the St. Catherine South Division and were arrested yesterday evening for Corruptly Soliciting and Accepting.

According to the Constabulary Communication Network, the three JCF members were on patrol early one morning when they accosted a motorist parked along a roadway and accused him of being involved in wrong doing. They then requested money from the motorist. A portion of the money was paid and an arrangement was made to pay the remainder the following day.

A report was made to the Anti-Corruption Branch and an investigation launched. A file was then submitted to the Director of Public Prosecutions who ruled that they be charged.
