Australia, set a victory target of 254 by Sri Lanka, were struggling on 66 for four after nine overs in the last group match of the Champions Trophy at the Oval in London.

Australia must reach the target in 29.1 overs to qualify for the semi-finals with a superior run-rate over New Zealand.

Sri Lanka needs a victory to join the already-qualified England in the semi-finals from Group 'A'.

Glen Maxwell has so far top scored for Australia with 32, while Nuwan Kulasekara has taken two of the four wickets to fall.

Earlier, Mahela Jayawardene 84 not out and Lahiru Thirimanne 57 led the batting for Sri Lanka.

Left-arm seamer Mitchell Johnson was the most successful bowler for England with 3 for 48 from 10 overs.
