500lbs of ganja found in car, investigators searching for driver

Police investigators are now searching for the owner of a motorcar in which ganja valued at about $3 million was found.



The seizure was made by a team from the Transnational Crime and Narcotics Division, and Clarendon Division yesterday.



The Police say the team was on an operation along the Salt River main road, in the parish, when a premises was searched.



They say a car which was at the premises was searched and 63 packages of compressed weed, weighing 500lbs, were found inside the car.
