The Anchovy High schoolgirl who allegedly stabbed a classmate to death yesterday is in police custody.

Investigators say attempts are being made for her to secure a lawyer so that she can be questioned.

Thirteen-year-old Jamellia Dawkins died from a stab wound to her neck reportedly inflicted by the accused.

It is reported that the two got into an altercation while on their way home from school.

The incident was captured on a cellphone and later shared on social media websites.

Popular online site Youtube has since pulled the video.
