Davies saddened by CMI students' deaths

Transport Minister Dr Omar Davies has expressed sadness at the deaths of two students of the Caribbean Maritime Institute in a motor vehicle accident yesterday afternoon.

The students have been identified as 21-year-old O’Brien Tapper and 19-year-old Luke Dillon.

In commenting on the tragedy, Dr Davies bemoaned the fact that the two would never have an opportunity to fulfil the potential they held.

And Dr Davies is again calling for all road users to exercise caution on the nation’s thoroughfares.

Noting that the country is still observing Road Safety month, the transport minister says everything must be done to minimise fatalities resulting from road crashes.
