First Lady of Burkina Faso to visit Ja

First Lady of Burkina Faso Her Excellency Chantal Compaoré is to arrive in Jamaica on Monday as part of a delegation from the West African country.

The purpose of the mission is to learn about Jamaica’s experience in preventing adolescent pregnancies and supporting adolescent mothers.

She will be accompanied by officials from the country’s Ministry of Women Promotion and Gender.

On arrival, Mrs Compaoré will be met by officials from the Office of the Prime Minister and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), which is spearheading the initiative.

While here, the First Lady will call on Governor-General, Sir Patrick and Lady Allen, and Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller.

Mrs Compaoré will depart the island on Saturday, June 29.
