Former Manchester High School athlete Natoya Goule has qualified on her first ever attempt to go to the World Championships.

Goule, now at the Louisiana State University in the United States, met the 'A standard' time with a run of 1:59.93 in the women's 800m at the National Trials in Kingston Saturday night to make it to Moscow 2013.

"I'm very happy," she said after the race, noting that her coach was very deliberate in outlining how she should have approached the race to make the qualifying time.
