Gun court case involving broadcaster put off

Published:Tuesday | June 25, 2013 | 2:07 PM

The trial involving broadcaster Wayne Whyte and and his co-accused, Safari Farr in relation to last year’s attack on journalist Jody-Ann Gray, has been put off until tomorrow.

The matter came up for mention in the Gun Court today but was put off because one of Whyte's lawyers is involved in a murder case in the Portland Circuit Court.

The men were further remanded.

Whyte and Farr are facing charges of wounding with intent, illegal possession of a firearm and illegal possession of ammunition.

Gray was attacked as she arrived home in Cedar Grove in Portmore, St Catherine on April 4 last year.

At that time she was reportedly seven months pregnant.
