11 persons arrested for electricity theft in Clarendon

Eleven persons were arrested yesterday for the illegal abstraction of electricity in Clarendon.



Ten men and a woman were arrested during an operation carried out by crews from the Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) supported by members of the security forces.



JPS says the team also pulled down 120 throw-ups.



The light and power company says up to June 21, JPS teams had removed more than 86,000 illegal lines and completed more than 50,000 account audits and investigations. 



JPS also says 126 persons had been arrested up to last Friday.
