ATHLETICS: Fraser-Pryce to run 200m in Birmingham on Sunday

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is among nine Jamaicans who will compete at the Diamond League meeting in Birmingham, Great Britain on Sunday.



The Double Olympic 100-metre champion is down to contest the women’s 200 metres, just a week after setting a world leading 22.13 at the Jamaican World Championships trials in Kingston.



Sherone Simpson, who finished second behind Fraser-Pryce in Kingston, will also compete in the 200 metres.



The men’s 100 metres will feature two Jamaicans in Nesta Carter and Julian Forte, while Dwight Thomas is down to compete in the men’s 110-hurdles.



The other Jamaicans down compete in Birmingham are Shevon Stoddard in the women’s 400-metre hurdles, Andrea Bliss in the women’s 100-hurdles and

Stephanie McPherson and Novlene Williams-Mills in the women’s 400 metre.
