London 2012 Olympic bronze medallist, Warren Weir, headlines a field of six Jamaicans who will compete at the Edmonton International Track Classic in Canada on Saturday.

Weir will compete in the men’s 200 metres along with his Jamaican teammate Jason Young.

Weir is in good form after running a scorching 19.79 seconds to win the 200 metres at the Jamaican World Championships trials on Sunday.

The time represents the joint 14th fastest time ever.

In the women’s equivalent, Jamaica will be represented by Patricia Hall and Samanth Henry-Robinson, who is also down to compete in the 100 metres also.

The 100-metre dash also features another Jamaican – Sheri-Ann Brooks.

The other Jamaicans down to run are Natasha Ruddock and Ashlea Maddex in the women’s 100-metre hurdles.
