TAJ responds to motor vehicle registration sticker shortage
Tax Administration Jamaica is reporting that there is a shortage of 2013 Motor Vehicle Registration Stickers at some of its tax offices across the island.
The agency says this is because of an unusually high demand by motorists opting to register or license their vehicle for six months instead of a year.
The TAJ says efforts have been made to reallocate stickers to offices where stocks have fallen below standard levels.
The agency says in the event that a tax office is completely out of stock of the 2013 stickers, it will only affect persons registering for six months.
It adds that an alternate measure has been put in place to allow such persons to register their vehicle for seven months.

The TAJ notes that persons registering for a year will not experience any difficulty as they will be provided with 2014 stickers.
