PM off to Nicaragua for PetroCaribe summit
Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller left the island this morning for Nicaragua where she will attend a heads of State summit on the PetroCaribe.
A statement from the Office of the Prime Minister says the summit will focus on the PetroCaribe Energy Cooperation Agreement and new initiatives to strengthen its operations.
Simpson Miller, who is being accompanied by Special Adviser Dr Carlton Davies and Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister Onika Miller, will hold talks with other government ministers and PetroCaribe officials.
She is expected to return to the island this evening.
