Two killed, four injured in fiery Clarendon crash

A two-vehicle collision near Mineral Heights, Clarendon has left two people dead and four hospitalised with injuries.

The head of the Clarendon Police, Senior Superintendent of Police Michael Bailey told The Gleaner/Power 106 News Centre that the crash took place about 11:30 a.m.

It involved a motor car and a pick-up truck.

The details of the crash were not immediately available, but Bailey said the car caught fire.

He also said the two deceased who were among five passengers travelling in the car are yet to be identified.

The other three and the occupant of the pick-up truck are the ones in hospital.

Bailey says personnel from the May Pen Fire Brigade are still on the scene attempting to remove the burnt out remains of the deceased passengers.
