No changes to duty concession for travelling officers, says Dalley
Jerome Reynolds, Staff Reporter
Minister without portfolio with responsibility for the public service Horace Dalley says there are no plans to change the 20 per cent duty concession for public sector travelling officers.
Dalley pointed out that there has been anxiety among some civil servants that this benefit could be affected by the government’s thrust to eliminate waivers and concessions.
The move is a part of the Administration’s economic programme under the deal with the International Monetary Fund.
However, in his contribution to the Sectoral Debate yesterday Dalley said the duty concession to travelling officers would not be affected.
